Guillaume Bailleul, aka H, découvre la peinture aérosol avec son ami d'enfance "Kabout" à l'âge de 15 ans. La bombe devient rapidement un moyen adapté à ses envies d'expression et son besoin de production. Autodidacte, l'aérosol offre l'énergie et le pouvoir recouvrant que recherche Guillaume. Il vend ses premières œuvres murales à 18 ans.
Sensible à la nature et aux causes environnementales actuelles, les évolutions de sa pratique l’invitent progressivement à une expression sur toile. Il s’offre ainsi l’opportunité de créer des œuvres pérennes. S’il crée son atelier « l’atelier H » en 2020, Guillaume continu de peindre à l’extérieur, portes ouvertes au milieu des arbres. Souhaitant réconcilier l’homme et la nature, la ville et la campagne, et faire cohabiter le domestique et le sauvage, il est engagé pour les causes du monde écologique. Ses toiles partagent ses considérations pour la vie, la faune, la flore. Elles révèlent les émotions que peut susciter la nature. Elles apprennent à saisir l’esthétique éphémère d’un battement d’aile, de l’éclosion d’une fleur, de la rencontre d’un animal. Ses œuvres invitent à apprécier ces instants que le monde moderne tend à mettre à mal.
Les messages qu’il y transmet invitent à s’interroger sur les espèces protégées, et dévoile le contexte créatif de l’oeuvre (musique, actualité, événements personnels ou sociétales du moment). Ainsi, entre compositions et mouvements instinctifs, Guillaume exprime ses craintes sur le devenir de la nature mais aussi ses pensées, ses envies, sa joie de vivre au travers des couleurs vives, des lumières contrastées et de larges formats.
Si son style s’inscrit pleinement dans le mouvement graffiti du street art, il réussit à mettre cette pratique urbaine au service de la valorisation de la nature.
